Best Water Flosser Reviews
Panasonic Portable Dental Water Flosser
If you need a good water flosser for your braces or otherwise, the Panasonic Portable Dental Water Flosser is powerful, versatile, is small and portable, and does not cost very much either.
The Panasonic Portable Dental Water Flosser is a cordless device. This is a battery operated device and it needs AA batteries.
This flosser does not come with a recharging station or rechargeable batteries. Keep in mind that two batteries will only last for 20 minutes, which is admittedly not great.
However, it is small and portable, which is quite convenient none the less. What is also nice about this item is that it is easy to clean and totally waterproof. You can wash it out in the sink no problem.
The Panasonic Portable Dental Water Flosser comes with a 5.5 ounce water reservoir that is easy and quick to fill. This will provide you with roughly 40 minutes of water flossing, which is quite good. It’s not a whole lot, but not bad either.
This is a good item to go with because it comes with a small water nozzle at the front, which is where the water comes out. It lets out a precise and fairly powerful jet of water to get in between teeth and clean food out of braces.
What’s also nice about the Panasonic Portable Dental Water Flosser is that it features dual speed settings. It operates at up to 1,400 water pulses per minute, which is actually quite impressive. All in all, this water flosser is very powerful, it delivers a lot of water jets in precise fashion, and it is highly portable too.
- Very portable
- Easy to fill
- 40 seconds of water
- 2 speed settings
- Waterproof and easy to clean
- Batteries don’t last very long
- Durability is a bit questionable
Waterpik Complete Care Water Flosser and Sonic Toothbrush, WP-900
Now, this item is a bit more expensive, about three times the price of the first option we looked at. However, it also does not require batteries, it has a whole lot of power, a long runtime on a single fill, and it even comes with a full electric toothbrush too.
The fact here is that the Waterpik Complete Care Water Flosser comes with not only the flosser, but is a nice electric toothbrush as well.
The electric toothbrush uses pulses and gentle motions to clean your teeth, it recharges itself when you put it on the stand, it’s fairly durable, has easy to replace heads, and is just a great tooth cleaning tool in general. We do like that this is a toothbrush and flosser combination.
The Waterpik Complete Care Water Flosser has a very high volume reservoir. It can hold enough water for a total of 90 seconds of water flossing before it needs to be refilled.
The reservoir is very easy to access, clean, and fill. It lasts about twice as long as the previous option we looked at, but keep in mind that this product is electric, not battery powered, plus it is fairly large, so it really is not portable.
The Waterpik Complete Care Water Flosser comes with a nice head that features a precision nozzle so you can really get in there. It has a 360 degree rotating tip for convenience.
On a side note, the toothbrush has two speeds to choose from, whereas the water flosser has a whole bunch of speed settings. Here you also get a variety of flosser nozzles and toothbrush heads.
- Long runtime
- Big water reservoir
- Comes with many attachments
- Includes a 2-speed electric toothbrush
- Not portable
- Comparably expensive
- Limited durability
H2ofloss Water Dental Flosser
This is a more affordable water flosser to go with. It’s more expensive than the first one, but cheaper than the second. Now, this is not a portable water flosser.
It is stationary. Unlike the previous one we looked at, this one does not come with a toothbrush, but it has some other cool features none the less.
The H2ofloss Water Dental Flosser is 100% waterproof. This means that all components can be easily washed under the sink without fear of damage.
What we also like about this particular item is that it has variable speed settings. It can put out up to 110 PSI, with 5 PSI being the minimum. This should be more than enough to clean your teeth and to get rid of food debris.
It’s also nice because it comes with a pause button, so you can pause the jet for any amount of time. What is also neat about this particular item is that it comes with 12 different nozzle attachments.
Each of them has a slightly different size and shape to fit your exact needs. Keep in mind that this is an electric water flosser, so it does need to be plugged in, and it’s not particularly portable.
However, the H2ofloss Water Dental Flosser does come with a large water reservoir. The 800 ml water reservoir can last for up to 150 seconds of teeth cleaning. The water hose connecting the reservoir and spray handle is pretty long, which is another bonus.
- Very large water reservoir
- Durable construction
- Variable speeds
- Includes 12 tips
- Requires an electrical outlet
- Tips are not the most durable
Waterpik WP-560 Cordless Advanced Water Flosser
If you need a really portable, nice looking, and highly functional water flosser, the Waterpik WP-560 Cordless Advanced Water Flosser is a good option to keep in mind for a variety of reasons.
The Waterpik WP-560 Cordless Advanced Water Flosser is very small and portable. It is designed so you can take it with you when you travel. It can easily fit in a toiletry bag.
What is nice here is that this item comes with a rechargeable battery and a fast charging system. Yes, it does take about four hours to charge, but you will get a couple hours of runtime on a single charge, which is good.
The Waterpik WP-560 Cordless Advanced Water Flosser comes with a fairly high capacity reservoir. It can hold enough water to allow for about 45 seconds of water flossing. No, it’s not as much as a stationary water flosser, but more than good enough considering how this item is portable.
The Waterpik WP-560 Cordless Advanced Water Flosser has advanced pressure controls with three different settings, so you can choose the one that works best for you. On that same note, it also comes with four different tips for a variety of specific purposes.
- Quite powerful
- Various tips included
- Fairly large water reservoir
- Highly portable
- Takes a while to charge
Waterpik Cordless Freedom Water Flosser, WF-03
The Waterpik Cordless Freedom Water Flosser is another good option to go with, especially if you need something that is fairly affordable and portable.
The Waterpik Cordless Freedom Water Flosser has a decent sized water reservoir, at least for a portable device. It can deliver up to 30 seconds of runtime on a single fill, which is okay, but not the best. We do like how the Waterpik Cordless Freedom Water Flosser is very small and portable. It can easily fit into a travel bag and barely takes up any counter space at all.
This particular water flosser does require three AA batteries. It’s a good thing because you can just replace the batteries when needed. However, the batteries here just don’t last that long. Some people might like a rechargeable option more.
The Waterpik Cordless Freedom Water Flosser has two speeds, which is nice because you can choose the pressure setting that works best for you. Moreover, it also comes with four different spray tips, each of which is a little different and ideal for various tooth cleaning needs. It’s a simple but effective option to go with.
- Variable speed
- Various tips included
- Limited battery life
- Limited durability
- Limited water reservoir
So, if you need a good water flosser for your braces, we personally would recommend the Waterpik Complete Care Water Flosser and Sonic Toothbrush, WP-900.
It’s a great all around toothbrush and water flosser set. Both the brush and flosser have various speeds, they come with various tips, and the whole product is quite useful in general.
It certainly has a lot of water capacity. If you want something a little more portable, we would recommend the Panasonic Portable Dental Water Flosser.
