Our Review

The E-best Mini Travel Handheld Garment Steamer is ideal for the frequent business traveler or if you have an extremely limited amount of storage space, measuring just 8 x 3 x 6 inches and weighing a paltry 1.2 pounds.

Compact and lightweight, this steamer is safe for use on both garments and household upholstery. It comes with a 4-ounce refillable water tank and heats up in as little as 15 seconds. It can provide up to 10 minutes of continuous steam and the 600 watt element supplies a sufficient amount of heat.

The 8-foot power cord is roughly industry standard and allows the user to easily move around while the steamer is in use.

Overall, customers are well pleased with the product’s size and performance. However, users have consistently noticed a few issues. For example, the device does not heat up as quickly as advertised; instead of being ready to steam in 15 seconds, it takes closer to 45 seconds or 1 minute.

The biggest problem is that the water tank is too small for anything other than emergencies. At only 4-ounces, the tank supplies only enough water and steam for use on one garment before it must be refilled.

If you’re on a business trip, then it’s great. If you’re traveling to a wedding – take a look. But look elsewhere if you’re looking for something small to do routine steaming tasks.

There is also no low-water indicating light or automatic safety shut-off to prevent overheating on this device. These features come standard on most other steamers and are a glaring omission from this one.

You also have to keep the steamer upright at all times; tipping it to the side while steaming causes water to drip from the head – thus wetting the garment being steamed. This is a common complaint with many handheld steamers and is not specific to this one alone, but if you’re new to steamers it’s worth knowing.

Being extremely compact and at a low price point are this product’s best features, however. The device seems to work adequately enough despite having several minor drawbacks.

If you are looking for a small, portable, inexpensive steamer this is a decent option. But do not expect to be able to steam an entire outfit in one sitting, or get professional-grade quality. For that you will need to look elsewhere.
