Product Features and Technical Details
The product measures 10 inches by 4.2 inches by 5.5 inches and weighs just 1.8 pounds. You will find it extremely light compared to its rivals.
Non-Stick Soleplate: The soleplate is made of stainless steel for durability and a smooth glide.
Upright Ironing: Steam works while upright – you can use it on drapes.
Precise Temperature Control: Match the temperature to the fabric you will work on. You simply have to select the clothing type and the iron will adjust.
Sprayer: If you encounter tough creases and seams, you may use the spray function (a spray mist nozzle sits at its tip). A small amount can go a long way.
Performance
Here at Garment Steamer Reviews, we’re all about being thrifty and not wasting money on features you don’t need. So it’s not that we wouldn’t recommend an iron for under 20 bucks. Far from it.
Nor do we dislike Black & Decker. Here’s a positive review of their F67E Classic Iron.
But this one just has too many problems. All too often, water leaks out of the soleplate, the steam is inconsistent, and there seem to be problems with the build quality.
Pros
- Heats up quickly
- Works in an upright position
- Easy to use
- Lightweight
- Inexpensive
Cons
- Reports of leaking
- May break easily
- Risk of damage to your clothes is too great
Who Should Buy This Product
People who just want the absolute cheapest iron.
Conclusion and Recommendation
We don’t recommend this model. It doesn’t take THAT much extra to get a steam iron that is actually quite good. So please shop around and only grab one of these if it’s the last one in the shop and you need to iron something within the next 5 minutes!
